Ian Dury Original 1977 New Boots And Panties!! Album Poster.

The iconic cover shot for Ian Dury's debut album New Boots And Panties!! was shot in front of an outfitter's shop called Axford, located at 306 Vauxhall Bridge Road. The block has since been replaced by a newer building dating from the 1990s, although a shop still remains on roughly the same site (now a local convenience store). Originally it was opposite a branch of Woolworth, which is visible in the reflection of the glass window. Alongside Dury in the picture (taken by Chris Gabrin) is his son Baxter. The album was released in September 30th1977 in the UK.
