The biggest party ever held in Brockwell Park took place under the banner Rock Against Racism. On 24 September 1978 more than 120,000 revellers came from across the country for the era-defining free carnival, headlined by Elvis Costello and Aswad.
It was the biggest event pulled off by the music-led political campaign and it helped to change British society.
