The Clash...Original 1978 On Parole UK Tour poster

This is an ultra-rare Framed genuine 1978 Clash ‘On Parole Tour’ promotional poster.
 
Original large 40" x 30" inches UK tour poster, with mention of support act "from the U.S.A.: Suicide" (CBS Records, June 1978).
 
Printed offset litho in red, green and black on white stock. Design depicts the band as seen through the crosshairs of a gun sight.
 
The Specials also played some of the tour gigs as support.
This particular one was used to advertise the gig at the King George’s Hall Blackburn and the previous sole owner removed it from the wall after the show. It has been folded in the past which is probably how it was sent to the venue - As this was an extra date on the tour, the venue printed and pasted a piece of paper advertising this on the poster, which I think adds to the history and uniqueness of this already very rare poster.
 
This same Clash Tour poster was on display as part of Toby Mott's Loud Flash Punk Poster exhibition, and it is also shown in his 'Oh So Pretty - Punk in Print 1976 - 80' Book.
 
This Clash rarity has various age related creasing etc as can be seen in the pictures, but it benefits from having been professionally framed.
